Sunday Services
Sunday 10:00 am Parish Holy Communion and Junior Church
Our main Sunday Service of Sung Holy Communion takes place at 10.00 am each week in church. This service, based on the Book of Common Prayer, lasts approximately an hour, with traditional and modern hymns, prayers, a sermon and the Eucharist. Services are led by St Paul's clergy, usually our Vicar or Cuarate, who normally deliver the weekly sermon. We occasionally have visiting preachers, and also hear regular sermons from our lay reader. Prayers of intercession and readings are delivered by members of our congregation. Music is an important part of our worship. Our Director of Music leads the St Paul's Choir and often produces his own arrangements of hymns and musical accompaniments. We sometimes conduct baptisms during the service on the third Sunday of the month.
Junior Church takes place during our main service. Children are welcome to attend age-appropriate activities for part of the service if they wish to do so.
After the service, we offer coffee in the lounge of our Community Centre adjoining the church for those who wish to socialise. It's a good way to meet people and get to know our community. All are welcome.
The Sunday Service is also broadcast live on our YouTube channel: St Paul's Wimbledon Parkside. You can subscribe free of charge and receive updates when new service videos are posted. Orders of Service are available on our website making it possible to participate fully at home, or wherever you are, if you cannot be in church.
