St Paul's Pantry (Food Bank)

St Paul's Pantry

St Paul's Pantry, our parish food bank, supplies people in need in our community with a complimentary bag of groceries containing essential dried and tinned goods. The Pantry is open in the church every fortnight on a Thursday.  We place a sign outside the church in the week when a Pantry takes place, or please check our website for the date of the next one, email or call us. Those in need of help with essential groceries should just come along between 6:30 and 7:30 pm.  No referral is necessary.  If you need help, you are always welcome.

To supply the groceries we depend on generous community donations. If you feel you are able to contribute, please leave your grocery items (dried and tinned items only please) at the back of the church when you come in to visit, or drop them off at the vicarage (116 Augustus Road), next door to church. (The church is open for private prayer and reflection on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays between 10.00 am and 12.00 noon; also on Mondays and Tuesdays between 2.00 pm and 4.00 pm; and on Sundays between 6.00 pm and 7.00 pm).

We particularly welcome donations of the following items: tins of tomatoes, baked beans, kidney beans and other beans, and tinned vegetables (e.g. carrots, sweetcorn).  Also tinned fish (especially tuna) and meat meals; as well as fruit, rice pudding, jam, and soups.  Also tea-bags, coffee, UHT milk, rice (white and brown), pasta and breakfast cereals.  Non-food items that are especially needed are washing-up liquid, laundry tabs, shampoo, soap/bodywash, and nappies (sizes 2 and 6).

If you would like more information regarding the type of donations we need, or would like to discuss becoming a volunteer to help the neighbourhood, please contact pantry@stpaulsparkside.org.uk

If you feel that you or a neighbour would benefit, please contact Revd Susan on t: 020 8788 2024 .

We are a community and we all need to look after one another.
