Giving to St Paul's

Your giving is what enables St Paul’s to carry out all its services and work in the community.  Everything that happens here is carried by the prayers, volunteering and the giving of our congregation and friends.  Giving – in gifts and acts of service – is at the heart of all we do as a church.  All the gifts we receive, large and small and however they reach us, are hugely appreciated and make a difference.

Here are some of the ways in which you may decide to give to St Paul's:

For Regular Donations

If you are happy to give a regular amount in the form of a direct debit or standing order:

Option 1 - The Parish Giving Scheme

Direct debit is our preferred method for giving, and we would encourage everyone to use this if they are able to do so. We have an arrangement via the Parish Giving Scheme (PGS) to which our Diocese subscribes, which makes setting up a direct debit very easy indeed. There is no administration charge deducted. You can choose to allow the amount donated to be automatically updated for inflation each year, which is a great help for us.  There is also a choice to donate weekly, monthly, or annually; and an option to give anonymously if you wish. UK taxpayers can tick a box asking for the PGS to claim tax back from the government through Gift Aid which increases what the church receives. It is very easy to set up online, at:

https: //www.parishgiving.org.uk/donors/find-your-parish/wimbledon-parkside-st-paul-london/

Your direct debit via the Parish Giving Scheme (PGS) can also be set up by phone or post; please ask us if you would like help with this. There is an information pack specificaly for this scheme on the donations table at the back of the church.

If you already give by standing order, then please consider changing to this scheme.

Option 2 - Standing Order

Alternatively you can set up a standing order with your bank. If you do this by online banking you will need our bank details:

Account name: PCC St Paul

Account number: 41649990

Sort Code: 60-20-09

Address: NatWest Bank plc,153 Putney High Street, London, SW15 1RX

Again, if you pay UK income tax, we can claim tax back from the government. To enable this we would be grateful if you would fill in and return a Gift Aid form: Gift Aid Declaration.pdf

It is only necessary to complete and return this form once; if you have previously completed a Gift Aid form for donations to St Paul's then you do not need to do so again unless your tax position changes (e.g. you stop being a UK tax payer).

To set up a standing order by post, please complete the Standing Order Mandate Form below and return it to your bank: Standing Order Form.pdf

For One-off Donations -

Option 1 - Bank Transfer

If you want to give a one-off contrbution via bank transfer using online banking:

Set this up with your bank using our bank details above and, if you pay UK income tax, please complete a Gift Aid form (see link above) to allow us to claim tax back from the government.

Option 2 - Donate via St Paul's Website

If you want to give a one-off donation via the St Paul's website:

Please follow this secure link to donate easily and quickly via the website: https://pay.churchdesk.com/aK97SvB27

We are able to accept donations securely using most major debit and credit cards including Mastercard, Visa and American Express.  A Gift Aid option will be available. Please note there will be a small administration charge of 2.6% + £0.20 per transaction levied by our payment provider on donations made via the website.

Option 3 - Contactless Card Reader

If you wish to donate via credit or debit card when visiting the church:

If you are in the church, there is a contactless card reader machine close by the main door next to the Welcome Table.  It accepts all major debit and credit cards and offers some choices of purposes for your donation. You simply input the amount you wish to give.

Option 4 - Cheque or Cash (Envelope)

If you want to give a one-off donation using a cheque or cash:

If you prefer to donate by cash or cheque, please place your gift in a sealed envelope using either one of the pre-printed donations envelopes available in church, or one of your own addressed to The Treasurer. You can either hand it to a member of the clergy or lay team at one of our services, put it into the wooden Donations box in church, or post it through the secure letterbox at St Paul’s Community Centre, 23 Inner Park Road, London SW19 6ED.

Cheques only (not cash) can also be posted to The Parish Office, c/o St Paul’s Community Centre, 23 Inner Park Road, London SW19 6ED.

Again, if you are a UK taxpayer we would be grateful if you could print off the GiftAid form,  fill it in and enclose it with the gift, so we can claim an extra GiftAid contribution. Gift Aid Declaration.pdf
