Wimbledon Symphony Orchestra Spring Concert Delights Audience

St Paul's was the venue for Wimbledon Symphony Orchestra's Spring Concert on the evening of Saturday 5th April.  The repertoire included Prokoviev's Symphony No 1

("Classical"); Beethoven's Piano Concerto No 5 in Eb "(The Emperor Suite"); and Farrenc's Symphony No 3 in G minor (1847).  The conductor was Dominic Grier with William Bracken (Piano) and Zoe Hodi (Leader).  The concert was enjoyed by a large audience.  St Paul's benefits from a wonderful acoustic and is venue of choice for several choirs and orchestras.

WSO's next concert will be at St Paul's on Saturday 14th June 2025 with a programme of works including Strauss (Don Juan), Barber (Violin Concerto) and Elgar (Symphony No 1). Look out for further details on the St Paul's website  or visit www.wimso.org.uk.
