Parkside Post April edition is now available online and in print

Welcome to Easter!  The April 2022 edition of Parkside Post, the parish magazine for St Paul's Wimbledon Parkside is now available online and in print. If you live in the parish, the magazine will be delivered to your door in the next few days. You can also download and read it via the secure link hereParkside Post Easter 2021.pdf

In her introductory message, Revd Susan reflects on how, in a world struggling to emerge from the pandemic and newly scarred by a tragic war in Ukraine, the arrival of springtime and the reawakening of the natural world - the blossom, the flowering shrubs, the daffodils and the arrival of colourful birds - brings us renewed hope in our own lives and for mankind. 'We are reminded of the experience of the disciples at Easter when despair and isolation gave way to hope and love as they met the risen Jesus'. You can read Susan's message in full in Parkside Post.

There is an article on the 'Stations of the Cross', taking a look at their meaning in Christian tradition and their role in prayer. Images of the fourteen stations of the cross by Sieger Koder (1925-2015), a German Catholic priest and artist, and the short poetic texts which accompany them can currently be viewed in church.

You will also find details of all the activities and events happening in the Community Centre and church over the coming weeks including dance socials, St Paul's Lunch Club, concerts and recitals. There's a delicious recipe for Easter Bunny Cakes and a colouring page for the kids. A list of useful contacts and the dates and times of our full programme of Holy Week services are provided.

As ever, you are more than welcome to join us, whenever you feel able.

Happy Easter!
