Rev Susan Bolen appointed next Priest-in-Charge of St Paul’s

 

We are delighted to announce that the Bishop of Kingston, on behalf of the Bishop of Southwark, has appointed the Rev Susan Bolen to the post of Priest-in-Charge of St Paul’s Church, Wandsworth (Wimbledon Park), subject to the usual legal formalities.

Susan is currently Assistant Curate in the parish of Frimley, in the Diocese of Guildford.  Her training and studies include an MA in Biblical Studies from Kings College London, an MA in Pastoral Theology from Anglia Ruskin University and a three-year course in Ignatian Spirituality and Spiritual Direction. Her previous life included many years in business finance and a position with the UN High Commissioner for Refugees.

Susan is married to Sebastiaan and they have two children, Brigitte (18) and Benoît (14). Together they have lived in France, Switzerland, Holland, Belgium, Luxembourg and England.  Brought up in Texas, Susan moved to France to do graduate study in business at INSEAD. She enjoys reading, spending time with family and friends and is keen on hiking and running with Ella, the family golden retriever.

Susan is very much looking forward to working with the people of St Paul’s and the community of Wimbledon Park.  It is anticipated that Susan’s last Sunday in Frimley will be in January and that she will be licensed at St Paul’s in early February.  The date will be confirmed as soon as possible.
