“Change rooms in your mind for a day.”  from All the Hemispheres by Hafez
The poet Hafez was born in Shiraz, Iran, presuambly in 1315. His parents were from Kazerun, in the Fars Province. He had a profound effect on Persian life and culture. Despite his enduring popularity and influence, few details of his life are known; accounts of his early days rely upon traditional anecdotes. At a young age, he memorized the Holy Quran and was given the title Hafez, which he used as his pen name.
